aise hi!

Yesterday I chanced upon a blog (hope I can find it again) where the blogger pulled out couplets from old songs; the two lines which made an impression - which perhaps was the crux of the whole work for him/her.

Here is my first:

From Shahryar's, "aise hijr ke mausam ab tab aate hain/tere alava yaad humein sab aate hain",

kagaz ki kashti mein dariya paar kiya,
dekho humko kya kya kartab aate hain

Moments

Yesterday I dreamt
Today is a hallucination
Tomorrow it will be a fantasy
And forever, I will be disillusioned

Yesterday I desired
Today I am craving
Tomorrow I'd be discontented
And forever I'll be frustrated

Yesterday I was attractive
Today I am beautiful
Tomorrow I will be a legend
And forever that's all I'll ever remain

Yesterday I was innocent
Today I am gullible
Tomorrow I will be a fool
And forever I will be exploited

Yesterday, I longed for today
Today, I long for tomorrow
Tomorrow, I will long forever
And forever, I'll long for yesterday

Ghosts

Ghosts

Had I known any better,

would have become a ghost chaser.

A stroll into the reality of heart;

a turn into yet another illusion.

Make up a new name for us,

would play another game of love.

Be that fleeting perfection;

and then break the illusion.

I would fly out of that world,

be another apparition,

haunt that existence,

leave a vacuum of burden.

Had I known any better,

would have become a soul searcher.

A stroll into the reality of heart;

a turn into yet another illusion.

Quotes: Feb 4, 2009

Wandering re-establishes the original harmony
which once existed between man and the universe.
